Revenge
Chris was invited to a party this evening. But not just any party, his brother’s wife had died a few months ago and she had left him a big mansion. His brother, Steve, had moved there and tonight he wanted to celebrate the fact that he finally had gotten all his stuff into the mansion and was finished moving.
When Chris arrived at the mansion, the party had already started. He found his brother talking to some guests in the garden. It was a beautiful summer night and there were no clouds in the sky. “Hey little bro.” Steve greeted him. He excused himself from his guests and asked Chris to walk a little with him. “So, nice house you have there.” Chris tried to start a conversation. “Yeah, isn’t it? Sad that I only got it, because Melissa died.” Chris stopped and looked at his brother. “Man, she died only four months ago and you don’t seem like you really care about it. Didn’t you love her?” Steve sighed. “You know that I loved her, but we just didn’t get along with each other. We were about to break up, when she died.” “Really? And she still left you the house and everything else? That’s odd.” Chris said. “She had no living relatives. They all died five years ago in a plane crash. They were having a family reunion and wanted to fly to some Island for a week or so. Melissa couldn’t accompany them, because she was in hospital at the time. Some idiot had crashed her with his car, when she was riding her bike. She had two broken legs and a broken arm. She barely survived that accident. So I was the only person she knew well enough to give her stuff to.” Steve explained. “Wow, I didn’t know that. Well that explains why you are over her so fast.” Chris replied. They turned and walked back to the party together.
Around three o’clock in the morning Chris left and went back home. He climbed into his bed and was asleep after a few seconds. He had a strange dream that night. He stood alone in an empty room, except that he felt that he wasn’t alone at all. A strange presence could be felt all around him. He could hear strange whispers. First he didn’t understand what they tried to tell him, but after a while he understood. <Wake up, Chris. Wake up!> they repeated over and over again. Suddenly Chris was wide awake. His eyes shot open. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. At the other end of his bed a woman was hovering in the air. She was completely white, with not a single color anywhere on her. “W-Who are you?” Chris asked, his voice trembling. The woman smiled at him. “Don’t you recognize me? You had a conversation about me with your brother at the party.” “M-Melissa? Is that you?” Chris asked. “Of course, who else.” She replied. “What do you want from me? Shouldn’t you be dead? My brother said you died from a horrible disease.” “Hrmph. I can imagine that. The filthy liar.” She grumbled. “Liar?” Chris asked “Yes, liar. I didn’t die from a disease. Your brother murdered me in cold blood. He snuck poison in my food.” “Why on earth would he do that?” Chris interrupted her. Melissa’s spirit stared at him angrily “I found out that he only wanted to married me, because he wanted my money and the house. I broke up with him and he killed me, so he could get what he wanted. All this talk about true love is just nonsense.” She screamed at him.
Chris shrank back in his pillow and asked “Ok, ok. I understand that you are angry, but what do you want from me?” She smiled grimly at him and said “Only you can help me to get my revenge!” Suddenly she jumped at him and embraced him. Chris started to feel dizzy and his body started changing. He gasped in horror, as he saw his chest expand, forming two small breasts. “No!” He shouted. “I won’t let you take control!” He tried to battle the dizziness in his head … and it worked! His breasts retracted again and Melissa’s ghost was pressed out of him again.
She looked at him with respect. “Not bad. Not many mortals would’ve been able to do that. Still it was no use. I will be back and I will get my revenge.” Then she disappeared. Chris got up and made himself a coffee. ‘I can’t sleep anyway now. Who knows when she might be back? I don’t want to be caught sleeping.’ He thought. It was an awful night. He drank three liters of coffee. On top of that he had drunk quite a few glasses of wine at the party, so, the next morning, he had a terrible headache.
Nonetheless he went to the library, in order to prepare himself for Melissa. He searched for books over ghosts and other supernatural beings. After four hours of searching he found a big, very old and dusty book, which contained a ritual for a shield against ghosts. He browsed through various different stores, until he had all the ingredients he needed.
Back at home Chris used a powder, which consisted of crushed chicken bones and some strange minerals, to draw a protective circle around his bed. He lighted candles and incense sticks. After he had finished all his precautions, he went to bed. Still he couldn’t sleep. He didn’t know if all that stuff worked, so he stayed awake.
Around midnight Melissa appeared. “Hi there.” He greeted her “This time I’m prepared for you.” “We will see about that.” She said sarcastically. She tried to float over to him, but was halted midair, as if she had run into a wall. “Hmm… So you really tried to defend yourself. I didn’t expect that. Let’s see how strong your wards are. She closed her eyes and ghostly tentacles grew out of her back, brushing against the invisible wall, trying to find an opening. Relieved that the circle was working, Chris tried to fall asleep. His attempts failed a few minutes later, when Melissa’s tentacles suddenly retracted into her body. She looked at him and grinned devilishly. “You know, when you put up wards, you should make sure that they are not interrupted by something.” “What do you mean?” Chris asked a little fearfully. Melissa pointed at the end of his bed. Chris got up and saw that his blanket had fallen down from the bed, completely obliterating a part of the circle. His face became as white as ash. He turned to Melissa, a pleading look in his eyes. “Please…” He started, but she had already jumped him. This time it was much harder to fight her back and after a few minutes Chris felt that he was losing. Slowly, but inevitably, his body started to change. It shrank a little and grew more slender. His hair had started growing and stopped, as it reached his ass. At the very end two small breasts formed and pushed his shirt outward. He started to feel dizzy and became unconscious.
When she woke up, she didn’t feel any different than usual, except for the fact that she was now a girl. She couldn’t feel the ghost anymore, but she knew that somewhere inside of her soul Melissa was waiting. And Christine knew that she was only her puppet, her tool to get her revenge…

I was blinded with rage... This woman, she just make fun of us from the beginning. This training mission was in reality something else... something dangerous and surely illegal. I think back... and I feel a little sorry for J-F or Jessica, I pull her by the arm all the way to the director office. Surprisingly the guards didn't stop me when I rush in. She was there... simply smiling at me, a smile that mean everything I fear, she knew what would happen from the start and she was actually appreciated every moment of it.

One thing I’m curious about is how Melissa came back as a ghost in the first place.
